    Good Friday Procession 2011

    Sunday, April 24th, 2011

April 22, 2011 – After the Street Senakulo, Rizal Avenue and a few other streets in San Pablo City were lined-up with beautifully decorated carriages carrying statues of Jesus Christs, the Saints and others. They were getting ready for the annual Good Friday Procession that depicts the Passion of the Christ or simply the last hours of our Lord Jesus Christ here on Earth.

    Good Friday Procession, 2011

This year’s Good Friday Procession was very special because there was only one big procession featuring all the carriages in the City. I think San Pablo City has the best carriages in the country and the carriage carrying the Last Supper Scene was once the biggest before it was cut down to size. The Last Supper carriage used to span both lanes of Rizal Avenue and turning it was a very hard task for the men pulling it. (more…)

A Quick Visit to SM City San Pablo

    Thursday, November 18th, 2010

SM City San Pablo opened last October, 2010 but we don’t go there that often because it is kinda far away from where we live. Well, it’s not really that far but the cost of commuting to and from can be expensive. They should have built the mall closer to the City Proper. Anyway, here we have a few photos of Rodylyn, Rain and Rhomiel which I took at SM City San Pablo.

Sm City San Pablo - November 18, 2010

In the picture above are Rhomiel, Rodylyn and Rain sitting on a Red Sofa. SM City San Pablo has this Christmas setup where people can take pictures. In fact, other people were also taking pictures of their own kids on the other end of the Red Sofa when I took some of the pictures. (more…)

    Sampalok Lake, November 14, 2010

    Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Sampalok Lake is one of San Pablo City’s Seven Crater Lakes and it is also the biggest, most accessible and most popular. Families from all over the city come here every morning to relax and have fun.

In the two photos above are Rodymel (Ar-ar), Rain, Rodylyn (Dang), Rhomiel and Romelyn (Aryan). Unfortunately, the sun was kinda on their faces that was why Rain and Rhomiel covered their faces with their hands.

Below are some photos from our most recent visit to Sampalok Lake (see the photos after the jump). (more…)

Rhomiel Confined at Community General Hospital

    Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

As instructed by her Pediatrician, we confined Rhomiel at Community General Hospital here in San Pablo City. Rhomiel got a fever and it kinda lasted for 3 days. In her last check-up, her platelet count kinda dropped a little and this is when her Pediatrician, Dr. Kalaw-Fernandez, asked us to confined her to a hospital for observation and treatment.

    Rhomiel Confined

Even though we don’t have any money, we still brought her and had her admitted to Community General Hospital because we are afraid that it could be dengue. Dengue is a disease which is currently plaguing the entire Philippines. In fact, a boy in our neighborhood already died from it which kinda made us more worried and nervous. The disease, Dengue, is spread by dengue carrying mosquitoes through its bite. Anyone bitten by a dengue carrying mosquito can be infected and get sick from it. (more…)

    Friday Stroll

    Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

The kids woke up very early that day so we decided to head on over to Sampalok Lake. Sampalok Lake is really the only place worth going to in San Pablo City specially that early in the morning (around 6:00am).

Sampalok Lake is also a favorite place of health conscious people. They come here everyday to jog and exercise. A free aerobics class is also held at Doña Leonila Park every week. (more…)
