Well, it’s not really that far but the cost of commuting to and from can be expensive. They should have built the mall closer to the City Proper. Anyway, here we have a few photos of Rodylyn, Rain and Rhomiel which I took at SM City San Pablo.
<p

SM City San Pablo has this Christmas setup where people can take pictures. In fact, other people were also taking pictures of their own kids on the other end of the Red Sofa when I took some of the pictures.<span

It’s mainly a Catholic celebration but, I think, even non-Catholics are observing it. I guess, it’s because almost everyone in the country started out as Catholics then just switch to different religions later in their lives.

<a

Fortunately, the rain did stop that afternoon and it gave us the opportunity to went ahead with our plan to go to the cemetery but we left Rain and Rhomiel home because it was still very cloudy.

On our way to the cemetery, we stopped at a local shopping center to purchase some umbrellas. We kinda had only one umbrella and there were four of us. If it rains then we will definitely be drenched. The cemetery wasn’t really that far, so we just walked to get there. Besides, commuting will only be frustrating because of the terrible traffic.

At the cemetery, we went to visit my wife’s dead relatives and mother (my mother-in-law). We also went to visit my father’s grave where we spent a few minutes just sitting there and having fun. We also lit up some candles for all of them.

Unfortunately, the sky never cleared. The rest of the afternoon was very cloudy. Fortunately, we were able to get back home before the rain started pouring down again later that afternoon. The umbrellas that we bought were very useful because it protected us from the mild rain that was already falling as we were walking back home.

Below are some photos from that day.
<p

Before, he was only playing browser-based flash games and my wife was always assisting him specially in booting the computer, running Firefox and loading their favorite flash games website. He is also sometimes assisted by his older brother and sister but in a short period of time, he began to boot the computer by himself, run Firefox and load the website. His mouse skills also improved greatly and he learned which buttons or letters to press to operate the computer or the program he’s running.

Last month, during the Christmas break, one of my nephew installed Counter-Strike 1.5 in the computer. Baby Rain saw it and immediately wanted to play it. My nephew showed him which letters to press to control the movement and actions of the character and to our surprise he was able to learn it quickly. He was able to coordinate mouse look with keyboard movements while targeting and shooting his enemies. The last thing he learned was how to buy weapons, equipments and how to reload.

Now, every time it’s his turn to use the computer he would play Counter-Strike and there are even times when his older brother and sister can’t play or use the computer because we can’t get him to stop playing. LOL!

[flickr]photo:2206044722(small)[/flickr]

[flickr]photo:2206047080(small)[/flickr]

<a

Sampalok Lake is really the only place worth going to in San Pablo City specially that early in the morning (around 6:00am).

Sampalok Lake is also a favorite place of health conscious people. They come here everyday to jog and exercise. A free aerobics class is also held at Doña Leonila Park every week.

[flickr]photo:2196964950(thumbnail)[/flickr][flickr]photo:2196970396(thumbnail)[/flickr]

We rented 3 bicycles for the kids. Kuya took a mountain bike which was a little too big for him but he insisted on using that one while Ate Aryan and Baby Rain used bicycles with training wheels. Only Kuya knows how to ride a bicycle. Me and my wife, Dang, decided to walk.

We had a hard time controlling Baby Rain. He loves to show off by riding faster than his brother and sister. Biking around Sampalok Lake is very safe but there’s nothing wrong in being careful since the edge of the lake is just a few feet away from the road. An accidental bike turn will throw you into the water.

We ended the morning with a breakfast at Jollibee. Jollibee is a very popular local fast food here in the Philippines. Below are photos of everyone at Jollibee.

[flickr]photo:2197039346(small)[/flickr]

[flickr]photo:2197016196(small)[/flickr]

[flickr]photo:2197031980(small)[/flickr]

[flickr]photo:2196235401(small)[/flickr]

[flickr]photo:2196260745(small)[/flickr]

Kids Class Christmas Party

Itong Family

ar-ar

aryan

christmas

christmas party

dance

rain
<guid

They all woke up early to prepare their things. My wife, Dang, took care of them because I was still asleep but I was already awake when they all left for school. My kids always say goodbye to me before they leave and they were all carrying their gifts for the party.

Dang was with Baby Rain all day. Well, Baby Rain is only 4 years old that’s why Dang is always with him. I followed them after an hour to take some photos of the party. I wasn’t able to take photos of Kuya Ar-ar and Ate Aryan’s party because they’re in different schools. <span
