Before, he was only playing browser-based flash games and my wife was always assisting him specially in booting the computer, running Firefox and loading their favorite flash games website. He is also sometimes assisted by his older brother and sister but in a short period of time, he began to boot the computer by himself, run Firefox and load the website. His mouse skills also improved greatly and he learned which buttons or letters to press to operate the computer or the program he’s running.

Last month, during the Christmas break, one of my nephew installed Counter-Strike 1.5 in the computer. Baby Rain saw it and immediately wanted to play it. My nephew showed him which letters to press to control the movement and actions of the character and to our surprise he was able to learn it quickly. He was able to coordinate mouse look with keyboard movements while targeting and shooting his enemies. The last thing he learned was how to buy weapons, equipments and how to reload.

Now, every time it’s his turn to use the computer he would play Counter-Strike and there are even times when his older brother and sister can’t play or use the computer because we can’t get him to stop playing. LOL!

[flickr]photo:2206044722(small)[/flickr]

[flickr]photo:2206047080(small)[/flickr]

<a
