    New Year’s Eve 2010

    On New Year’s Eve, we all stayed up late for the Media Noche (except for Baby Rhomiel). Dang was able to prepare something for us to celebrate the coming of the New Year. We don’t have any firecrackers because I don’t like them and they are very dangerous. I do see the appeal of lighting-up firecrackers but a brief moment of excitement is not worth the harm it could inflict on anyone.

    We also had our exchange gift on New Year’s Eve. We’ve been having a family exchange gift for a few years now and we usually do it on Christmas Eve but this year we did it on New Year’s Eve. We spent New Year’s Eve together as a family. We didn’t have an extravagant feast, we didn’t have any firecrackers nor fireworks but, still, we did enjoy the evening because we have each other.     Mother-In-Law’s Funeral

    Last Saturday (July 18, 2009), my Mother-In-Law, Consuelo Rondina, was laid in her final resting place at San Pablo City Public Cemetery. She was 70 years old when she passed away. As far as I know, the cause of death was her Skin Cancer. The cancer already ate through her face and according to my wife, it was already attacking her internal organs in the abdominal area. Unfortunately, the cancer was never really treated because the cost of the medicines were somewhat expensive and I guess because of that the cancer spread and attacked other parts of the body.     Our New Home

    Last week we packed our things and moved to a new home. Our new home is not far from our old home. In fact, it’s on the same street. LOL!

    Just so you know, we don’t have a place of our own. Like many families, we just rent an apartment. (more…)
